Appointment (Staff)
To process new hires, separations, transfer or re-hire faculty, student and staff employment.
- Determine type of hire:
- Recruitment efforts: Advertise position for new applicants
- Direct hire: Candidate has already been identified (applies to grants)
- Contact your assigned business center specialist and provide them with the below information:
- Justification
- Start and end date
- Position name
- Reports to
- Hours per week
- Requested Salary rate
- Funding source (cost center or grant)
- If direct hire , include candidate’s name and 600# (if applicable)

- Email:
- Citizenship (Domestic or International):

- Supervisor’s Name:
- Human Resources will contact the new employee via email and once the CBC clears, the employee will get assigned a new ID number (600) which will be provided to you by your business center specialist.
- Use the 600 number provided to submit the new hire appointment request through the business center.
- The business center will send notification once the appointment has been submitted.
