The College of Engineering is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Associate Dean for People, Culture, and Environment, Dr. Martine Ceberio, Computer Science professor. Driven by a strong vision and an unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and thriving academic community, Dr. Ceberio is set to make a significant impact in shaping the future of the College of Engineering.

With an official start date of August 1, 2023, the newly appointed associate dean will be responsible for a diverse range of crucial roles within the College. In her new role, Dr. Ceberio will oversee initiatives such as faculty and staff development, tenure and promotion processes and inclusive excellence initiatives.

In response to the appointment of the new Associate Dean for People, Culture, and Environment, Dean Meissner of the College of Engineering shared his thoughts, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Martine to our leadership team. Her expertise and dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive academic community align perfectly with our mission and values. We believe that her leadership will significantly contribute to the development and advancement of our faculty, staff, and students. We look forward to working together to shape a culture of inclusive excellence and innovation within our college."

Ceberio brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the College. With a dedicated focus on cultivating a culture where everyone feels acknowledged and valued, the incoming associate dean is poised to lead the charge in creating an environment that fosters success and collaboration for all faculty, staff, and students.

Expressing enthusiasm for the new role, Ceberio shared her vision and goals for the position: "I am excited at the prospect of taking a deep look at our college’s culture. I aim to ensure that processes are in place for all – faculty, staff, and students – to feel acknowledged and valued. Defining what inclusive excellence means for us and providing support to achieve it are also high on my to-do list."
