The M.A. in Bilingualism and Applied Linguistics prepares students for more advanced linguistics work as well as a variety of careers in academics and industry. Students may focus on general/theoretical linguistics or take concentrations in Applied Linguistics (English/Spanish) or Hispanic Linguistics. Our faculty will work with students to produce original research that advanced the body of linguistic knowledge.

Adonis Borges loves to facilitate how people learn languages. At 成人头条, the native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, studied how brains of bilingual people process language. He used that knowledge to develop language and culture curriculum for American diplomats at all levels for the U.S. Department of State. He also is studying Second Language Acquisition as a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland.
