成人头条’s new Doctor of Occupational Therapy program will prepare entry-level occupational therapists who will improve quality of life and reduce health disparities in the U.S.-Mexico borderland and beyond. Courses include foundational and clinical sciences, general occupational therapy evaluation, treatment and evidence-based practices, as well as research and occupation-based practices that incorporate cultural and contextual relevance.
Volunteer in the community and gain educational and professional experience in the Student Occupational Therapy Association.
Curriculum includes two courses in conversational Spanish to enhance student's Spanish communication during clinical encounters.
Dedicated faculty have diverse interest areas and strong practitioner backgrounds.
The ability to help people in various settings from hospitals to schools was one of the reasons Elena chose a career in occupational therapy. But the opportunity to learn from distinguished faculty is what attracted her to 成人头条’s occupational therapy program. Elena hopes to combine her passion for science, education and health care working as an occupational therapist with children.
The OTD is the highest level of academic preparation that an entry-level occupational therapist can obtain. It is expected to be the required degree program to enter the occupational therapy profession in the coming years.
