Alumna Uses Degree to Better Serve Students

Brenda Matamoros chose the M.Ed. in Special Education because of its focus on students with high incidents disabilities and mental health interventions. The program's flexible schedule appealed to her. Her goal was to learn how to better serve students with different abilities in the mental health arena, in school campuses and in post-secondary transition programs. Now, as a Transition/Behavior Intervention Specialist for the Canutillo Independent School District, she is using the coursework and field experience she received at 成人头条 to implement mental health interventions that have demonstrated positive outcomes for her students.
