Claudia Ley is a multidisciplinary scholar, social artist, and third-generation jeweler from El Paso, Texas. In 2015 she received her M.A. in Sociology with a focus on Museum Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. She was the recipient of two graduate scholar fellowships: the Smithsonian Latino Museum Studies Program and the Tom Lea Fellowship. Claudia has been in museum education since 2013, as the education intern at the Rubin Center for the Visual Arts, the art school coordinator at the El Paso Museum of Art, and the education curator at the Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens. Most recently she served as a curatorial and advising consultant for the Smithsonian Latino Center and the National Museum of the American Latino overlooking educational digital content. She also serves on the board of the Public Art Committee for the City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department.
