CUADRO was a temporary artistic laboratory in downtown El Paso that served as a short-term catalyst for developing independent artist-led projects and engaging new and diverse publics. Featuring a series of events by LA-based Machine Project, and complementary workshops, exhibitions, performances and other projects by local artists curated by Andres Payan a Juarez native and recent graduate of Cal Arts MFA program.

This exhibition in the Rubin Center's Project Space will showcase photos, videos, documents and ephemera from the three-month long program. CUADRO highlights the Rubin Center’s engagement with local artists and national ideas, and was supported in part through innovative partnerships with the El Paso Community Foundation and the City of El Paso Department of Museums and Cultural Affairs along with generous support from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
