Faculty-Led Program
Every year, the 成人头条 MBA offers its students the opportunity to take part in the Faculty-Led Program - a short-term faculty-led study abroad experience which allows students to learn about the business environment and culture of the country they visit. Students from the Executive MBA (EMBA) and Professional MBA (PMBA) elected to have this year’s FLPs in China.
As a result of studying abroad or away, a student will:
- Possess an understanding of similarities and differences across many dimensions including gender, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, religious belief, ability, generation, nationality, family status and more.
- Appreciate personal and cultural differences and seeing their value, particularly in a collaborative setting.
- Expand their cultural awareness and understanding their connection to the global community.
- Demonstrate greater autonomy, evaluate problem solving-strategies and demonstrate independent decision-making
- Enhance his/her resume and increase job opportunities
PMBA
成人头条 MBA in Tarragona and Barcelona, Spain.
Under the leadership of Dr. Robert Nachtmann and Beatriz Lucero, twenty-two 成人头条 MBA students traveled to the region of Catalunya, Spain, more specifically Tarragona and Barcelona as part of an International Research Course (IRC) on March 16-23, 2019. The Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) in coordination with their Foundation and Department of Business and Economics helped organize the course. While there, students absorbed thought-provoking lectures on various topics including “Business Culture and Diversity in the European Union and Mediterranean Region.” The highlight of the URV visit was the exchange of ideas with other students at URV. Various corporate visits included Port Aventura, Borges International Group, Eurecat, and Clos Galena Winery. At the winery, students toured the vineyards and experienced a rustic feast of cloçots. with our passionate host, Laura Llevat. Cultural activities included Human Towers practice, Park Güell, Sagrada Familia and a fiery Flamenco dance performance. MBA students brought back a deep appreciation of the many wonders of Catalunya and were brimming with ideas for their projects; many also expressed an interest in returning to Spain.
EMBA
EMBA IX wraps up their International Research Course with presentations on Corporate Social Responsibility and Global Governance. This follows an incredibly interesting week of meetings with experts at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the International Chamber of Commerce, the Barcelona Lab for Urban Environmental Justice and Sustainability, two international law firms, and the renewable energy company AdiosCO2.
EMBAs also enjoyed cultural visits to Montserrat, the Picasso Museum, Sagrada Familia, the Alta Alella Mirgin winery, and walking tours of the architectural marvels of Barcelona. To top of this amazing line-up, many students watched FC Barcelona beat Lyon in a Champions League game! It was truly a remarkable learning and growth experience – as it should be!
