Community Engagement and Service
The College of Liberal Arts has a tradition of realizing 成人头条 Edge successfully into action both inside and outside the classroom, through active community engagement and service initiatives that align with all 成人头条 Strategic Goals.
Faculty and students within the Liberal Arts community are widely recognized for their commitment to civic engagement in El Paso. One avenue through which 成人头条 faculty can integrate community service into their teaching is by designating their courses as Community Engagement and Leadership (CEL) classes. The CEL designation program identifies courses that blend meaningful community service with instruction and reflection, enhancing the learning experience, promoting civic responsibility, and fostering community resilience. More details can be found on our faculty resource tab.
In addition, 成人头条 faculty foster impactful relationships between students and the community by participating in the Liberal Arts Community Engagement (LACE) summer program. Through LACE, faculty lead community projects—both research and creative endeavors—during the summer, employing students to contribute to these initiatives. These projects directly benefit the El Paso community and leave a lasting impact. Visit the faculty resource tab for further information.
