FYC Enrollment and Placement
Students entering ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ in their first year are typically placed into RWS 1301 and expected to go through the RWS 1301 and RWS 1302 sequence. Some students may have credit for RWS 1301 if they have taken it as a dual credit course during high school or if they received an AP score of 3 or above in English Language and Composition or English Literature and Composition. Students whose TSIA scores have determined that they need Developmental English courses can take RWS 1301 in conjunction with their other classes. Students also have the right to take a CLEP exam if they believe they should receive credit for RWS courses. They should contact the Office of Student Assessment and Testing.
There are no overrides for FYC courses. If a class is filled to capacity, please enroll in another section. The instructor will not make an exception.
The last day to register for a FYC class is at the end of the first week of classes on the last date of late registration.
