First-Year Composition Policies for Students
First-Year Composition instructors announce individual course policies on their syllabus. These include matters such as attendance, late papers, group work, and participation on Blackboard. Students should read these carefully. The policies below apply to any composition course at ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ.
Student Information
Student information is protected by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Legally, First-Year Composition instructors are not allowed to discuss any student's academic performance with or release any information about a student's academic records with anyone, including parents.

Course Concerns
Students who have a concern about their First-Year Composition course should please do the following: First speak with the course instructor to see if the matter can be resolved.
If the matter cannot be resolved, go to the English Department office in Hudspeth 113 and request a Course Concern form.Leave the form at the office. You will be contacted about your concern within two working days.
