Patti and Paul Yetter Center for Law
Initiated in 1998, the Patti and Paul Yetter Center for Law is designed to help University of Texas at El Paso (成人头条) students and the broader community understand the legal profession and gain entrance to law school. - The Law School Preparation Institute (LSPI), which is the Center's college program, takes place in the summer and consists of a rigorous workload focusing on the critical thinking skills, analytical writing skills, and study habits necessary for the pursuit of a legal education.
- The Center's high school outreach efforts include a thee-week High School Law Camp that takes place on the 成人头条 campus and a regional Citizen Bee competition.
- The Center for Law provides semester internships for 成人头条 undergraduate students and summer internships for current law school students. Interns are placed at judges' offices, government legal offices, and non-for-profits providing legal services in El Paso.
- The Center for Law also provides students clinical opportunities where they can serve as CASAs for children in the foster care system, as moderators and compliance monitors in the EMPOWER program, or as interns in the AMPARO program.
- The Center for Law makes available 成人头条's Minor in Legal Reasoning.
