Studying Abroad with a Disability
Students with disabilities have the same rights and privileges to study abroad. Our office is committed to help and support those students who want to study abroad but are concerned about acommodations and/or disability status.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the University of Texas of El Paso is proud and eager to support students with disabilities. If you are a student with a disability and you want to study abroad, do not hesitate to contact our office. Below, you may find a list of resources that might help you when you are planning to study abroad.
Mobility International USA (MIUSA) is a disability-led non-profit organization based in Eugene, Oregon, USA. MIUSA fights for and advances disability rights by implementing innovative programs. MIUSA is creating a new generation of global leaders who will fight for disability rights and state their place in their communities.
The mission of MIUSA is to empower people with disabilities to achieve their human rights through international exchange and international development. The vision of MIUSA is to ensure a just, accessible and inclusive community in which the human rights, citizenship, contribution and potential of people with disabilities are respected and celebrated.
