Master of Arts in Education
The Master of Arts degree in Education is a 30 credit hour degree designed for students who wish to pursue advanced studies in education. Students can pursue the M.A. in Education in any of three academic departments in the College of Education:

Master of Arts in Education - Diversity, Equity & Social Justice in Education

Master of Arts in Education - Linguistic Diversity & Educational Equity

Master of Arts in Education with Alternative Teaching Certification
The College of Education offers an alternative certification pathway for individuals who have already earned a bachelor’s degree and who are seeking to obtain a master’s degree with initial Texas certification to teach in PK-12 classrooms.
成人头条’s Master of Arts in Education with Alternative Certification Program combines research-based approaches to curriculum planning, classroom management, and effective instruction, intensive coaching and hands-on practice in classrooms with additional graduate study in a chosen concentration– all toward the goal of preparing the highest-quality teachers to successfully serve all students.
Students in the program participate in initial intensive preparation comprised of three graduate-level courses, followed by a residency classroom placement that includes tailored coaching and mentorship.
Master of Education - Curriculum and Instruction
成人头条’s M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction program is a hybrid, 36-credit hour degree designed for individuals who wish to pursue graduate studies focused on the content deemed important for student learning (i.e., curriculum) and the process by which learning is achieved (i.e., instruction). Master of Education in Literacy Education

Master of Education in Higher Education

M.Ed. in EC-12 with Principal Certification
Students interested in the K-12 setting are welcomed to participate in our programs at the masters level where educational opportunities provide a solid foundation and knowledgebase for roles in central office or school site leadership.

Master of Education in School Counseling
The School Counseling program prepares students to become elementary or secondary school counselors. Students become familiar with school counseling services and develop the competencies required of counseling specialists in the schools. This program meets Texas specifications for school counselor certification and the academic requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling
The Mental Health Counseling program prepares students for counseling positions in various community agencies such as mental health centers, family counseling centers, social service agencies, and private counseling settings. This program meets the academic requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
Master of Education in Special Education
This Special Education program is intended for students who have concentrated their previous academic work in the field of Education and are interested in gaining the knowledge and skills to meet the diverse educational needs of learners with disabilities.
The Special Education program offers two specialization areas:
- Bilingual Special Education Online
- Social Emotional Learning Hybrid
Master of Education in Educational Diagnostician
The Education Diagnostician program is intended for graduate students who possess a Texas Provisional Teaching Certificate and are interested in working with the Special Education system in the public schools. The applicant should confer with the 成人头条 Advisor to determine additional requirements for State Board of Educator Certification as a Professional Educational Diagnostician.
