Cyber Physical Systems Privacy and Security Enhanced Computing Laboratory (CyPSEC Lab)

CyPSEC Lab investigates on security and privacy issues that arise from the integration of real-time embedded applications, system software, and human interactions with physical systems such as power grids, vehicular networks, communication and networking systems, and IoT. CyPSEC lab trains the next-generation cybersecurity workforce by involving students in both fundamental and applied research projects, to develop solutions that are secure by design and have feasible practical implementations.
Digital Signal Processing Lab

Digital signal processing (DSP) and digital image processing (DIP) are applicable everywhere. Research interests include state-of-the-art theory and methods and applications implementable in software and/or electronic platforms.
Distributed Computing Lab

The DCL is currently investigating mechanisms for reducing the execution time of machine learning and discrete event simulation applications using multi-core, multi-processor, cluster based systems equipped with general purpose graphics processing units (GPGPUs). The DCL develops educational materials to help engineers of all disciplines understand and utilize parallel and distributed computing. The DCL organizes several outreach programs to attract pre-college students to the computing disciplines.

Using the latest 3D printing technology, we are developing a wide range of revolutionary technologies. 3D printing enables us to produce systems with electromechanical functionality, manufacture systems with complex form factors, fit more functions into a smaller amount of space, embed electrical functionality into structural members with near zero added size and weight, and more. Devices include antennas, sensors, frequency selective surfaces, transmission lines, metamaterials, circuits, and more.

Multi Sensing Processing & Learning Lab (MSPL)

Digital signal processing with emphasis on wavelet transforms, Fourier transform, time-frequency analysis, overcomplete signal representation, compressive sensing and tomography. One-dimensional or multidimensional signals collected with dense sensor arrays, and processed with computationally intensive algorithms running in parallel on computer clusters. Biomedical and defense areas in applications such as human bioelectric potentials analysis and subsurface tomographic imaging.
NanoMaterials Integration Lab (NanoMIL)

NanoMIL is a university laboratory that emphasizes academic and professional development while conducting stimulating research. The mission of the Power & Renewable Energy Systems (PRES) Research Laboratory at the 成人头条 is to study intelligent system applications in electric power and renewable energy systems. This includes power and energy systems analysis, modeling, forecasting, optimization, planning and operation. PRES lab also focuses on electricity market design that enable a reliable and efficient power system with increasing penetrations of variable energy resources in smart grid environment.
