Arthur A. Aguirre, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Instruction
Dr. Aguirre has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso (2007), a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso (2011), and a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of New Mexico (2015). Dr. Arthur Aguirre is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Master of Leadership Studies Program as of fall 2018. Dr. Aguirre’s research focuses on intercultural communication, organizational communication, conflict management, fantasy sports, media, and interpersonal communication. His most recent work “Monstrosities and Metaphors in Football” (Co-written with A. Ringer) was submitted to the 2018 International Communication Association Conference, Prague, Czech Republic. Dr. Aguirre has held several leadership positions within Higher Education aside from teaching he was also the CommGrads, Co-President for the Department of Communication & Journalism at the University of New Mexico (2013-2014). He was also the Marketing and Customer Relations Coordinator for the El Paso Zoo (2017).
